Elder Jonathan David Taylor goes to Baton Rouge, Louisianna

Time has flown by with my last post at BJ's Bayou (Louisianna quisine in Roberts, ID) to Jon's mission call on September 22, 2010. He was hoping to receive it one week earlier so Mike and Sarah would be here, but it didn't arrive. We were able to Skype Mike and Sarah in Germany, and be on the phone with Kurt and Martha in Arizona so they could be a part of all the excitement. We now have a computer that might be able to download a movie longer than 15 seconds and hope it works so you can see it also.
We are so excited for Jon. If there is anywhere foreign in America, it is the deep south. It will be very different for his body temperature. All winter he leaves his window open to sleep, loves winter camping, and being in the cold weather. Well, he will enter the humid, hot temperature of Baton Rouge just before Christmas. "I guess I'm going to learn to sweat. At least I will get there in the winter," he said. (67 degrees)

Right now Jon is with Scott elk hunting. It's about 34 degrees at night and when he couldn't find his tent, he knew he would be just fine on a cot with a tarp over him. So, that's just what he took. He will be there about one week or longer if no luck. It's his first time hunting big game. Do any of you like wild meat?
